SIX MORE PERSONS GASSED BY PROWLER AT MATTOON

MATTOON, Ill., Sept. 9 (AP). -- Six more victims of Mattoon's mysterious gas-spraying prowler were reported to the police today, making at least 27 known to have been made ill in the attacks.
As citizens armed with shotguns and rifles joined policemen attempting to run down the prowler, four persons in one household reported they were gassed about 1:45 a.m. today.
They were Mrs. Russell Bailey and her sister, Miss Katherine Tuzzo, and Mrs. Genevieve Haskell and her 7-year-old son Grayson Wayne Haskell, who were visiting at the Bailey home in the northwest section of the city. All four suffered nausea and the parched mouth and throat symptoms reported by previous victims. -- Sunday, September 10, page 1
